CSR To Mix GPS Into Bluetooth

Okay so most us carriers are required to have GPS Location Services availble for 911 location services, with the combination of adding it to the bluetooth chipset, is this adding more capability than that what already required, or does this just mean smaller phones.

E911 uses triangulation of the cellphone signal, not anything from the phone, at least not from a harware standpoint. GPS chips enable navigation & location based services on the phone itself, so you could use the phone as a navigational aid, or (if the software of the phone allows this) to determine your exact coordinates. I'm not sure if this would be true GPS, independent of network, or just enhanced AGPS. I would suspect the former, however, as the latter is sorta old news, and navigation features are becoming more popular.
