Nothing was mentioned on voice recognition. As a safety issue, I would think the the Big A had this covered? Since you have seen this device, what can you tell us about voice recognition, especially over bluetooth? Thanks

i honestly think that seeing that cool bluetooth headset coming out, that it will be fully voice recognized, well at least the contacts part of it...but then again maybe not, might be like my t-mo dash where u just say the name and it dials haha unlike verizon where it asks you 500 times if what you said was correct....so annoying they need to fix that ****

That's my big question. I love the voice recognition on my Samsung SCH-A990. I was surprised voice commands weren't mentioned in the intro, but perhaps with all the touching of the numbers in the address book was intended to make up for the fact there's no voice commands.

I have not touched it in person. The only member of the press that has actually touched it - that I know of - is David Pogue of the New York Times. (That lucky bastard... 😉 )

Apple didn't mention voice control, so I have no idea. They are still working on the software. Quite intensely, actually. Most of the Widgets don't work yet, for example. That's why it's not coming out until June.

They may add voice control by launch, or it may come in a later update. Apple does have their own great voice recognition technology, which could be ported to the iPhone in theory... we'll see.

What's apple's voice control like nowadays? I used it like a decade ago when it was still rudimentary, but haven't tried it since. Will it understand without training it or making pre-recordings to match against? Has anyone played with apples' voice control lately?

I would assume if this phone did have voice recognition you would not have to train each individal from your phone book. That method is so 2006. 🤣
