Apple Delivers iPhone

actually the phone is not going to be available for retail until 2009, its a mandatory 2 year agreement with cingular (or ATT) until then, with all the exclusive things ATT is giving apple, such as probably a special data plan, visual voicemail etc, they want to lock you in for 2 years

my suggestion is just keep verizon until the iphone actually comes out, when you decide you want it just go to cingular (without cancelling verizon yet), and tell them you want to transfer your phone number over and cancel verizon, they will do everything for you without you having to cancel verizon yourself...
