The iPhone is set up for Edge, I hate to point out that Edge is SLOW. Fine for a standard phone, but extremely disappointing for smartphones or advance devices. I guess it's because Cingular's 3g network is so small. It's a good thing it has WiFi, it's going to need it. But then again, if you can't download apps over the air, I guess WiFi will only be good for browsing.

I'm not sure I agree on the definition offered for "smartphone" though. By the "able to download third party applications" definition, I suppose almost all VWZ phones would be smartphones because of Get it now apps(Business & Tools, not Ringtones and games) and I think we can all agree that is not the case. It's so limited though I wouldn't call it a smartphone anyway. Nice perhaps, even fun, but not smart.
