YEAH, THEY TALK AS IF THEY HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR MONTHS NOW...

ya they handled the phone for 10 minutes and know EVERYTHING...even the VP's that they asked dont know everything...think about it, remember all the secrecy that went into this phone, only Steve Jobs knew what he was making, the rest of the teams split up and worked on individual projects not knowing what they were making their share of the software for, no one knew except a handful of people what it was actually for, and even they dontknow 100%, steve is the creator of this thing (ideas-wise) he will know what the end product is from today

Secrecy? Was this a secret promotional event?

The iPhone is set up for Edge, I hate to point out that Edge is SLOW. Fine for a standard phone, but extremely disappointing for smartphones or advance devices. I guess it's because Cingular's 3g network is so small. It's a good thing it has WiFi, it's going to need it. But then again, if you can't download apps over the air, I guess WiFi will only be good for browsing.
I'm not sure I agree on the definition offered for "smartphone" though. By the "able to download third party applications" definition, I suppose almost all VWZ phones would be smartphones because of Get it now apps(Business & Tools, not Ringtones and games) and I think we can all agree that is not the case. It's so limited though I wouldn't call it a smartphone anyway...
