Both of these podcasts have said this phone will
ultimately be out on all carriers.
I think for the first year though, its a Cingular exclusive.
I wouldnt hold my breath to see this on Verizon's network in the first year or even the second year.
Besides, Verizon would screw up this phone just like they do most of their other phones that they alter the software on anyway.
Verizon gets "new technology"
when its already 2 or 3 years old.
At 500 for 4gb and 600 for 8gb, its going to be a little while until this phone sets the world on fire. Only the hardcore early adopters will get this phone at those prices. Or unless of course your rich, and dont care.

nope exclusive to cingular until 2009, and by then im 100% sure an iphone version 2 will be out and once again be exclusive to cinguler and so on...

I just started a 2 year contract with Sprint but at this point I'm ready to shell out the $150 or whatever it is to break my contract and switch. When I first saw the demo's I said "I don't care how much it costs" How's Cingular's coverage anyway? Do they still have roll over minutes?

yes hey have rollover minutes, currently im with tmobile but i can tell you cingulars service...where i live im about 50 miles to the closest tmobile tower, so i use cingulars...never have had a dropped call in the 11 months ive owned it, i also have another 13 months for the contract, but i am gonna dish out the $150 to cancel as well...my gf and her mom live 10 miles from me and theyve had their cingular plan for 3+ years...they love it i think itll be a great time for them too...give them some extra money to set up more network posts...and ya sprint aint so good i used to have nextel...blah haha i just miss the BEEP BEEP lol
