Obviously it will be offered unlocked?
I can not think of any GSM phone that is worth having that is not available unlocked. Anyone have any thoughts why this one would be any different?
I have no problem going with Cingular but when I travel overseas, I like to slap in a local SIM card.

Read the information that is out there about it- it is only being sold locked to Cingular, and it is not going to be unlocked by them for anything. The companies do not have to unlock the phones from the network, it is done as a courtesy, and everything available is saying that the phones will not be unlocked, even for international travel.
