verizon does have a benefit here to mobile tv service but i feel not only will it confuse customers since tv isnt live on vcast but also with 2 different pricings. could have gave it another name. since this rolled out, i feel it will slow down thier rev a roll out. looking forward to sprints rev a handsets (sanyo 7600??) and wimax next year. mobile tv live is good enough on evdo for now.

depending on pricing too i feel sprint is cheaper too.

25 dollars for unlimited internet on or off opera mini browser www.opera.com , Picture Mail, Video mail, sprint tv ultimate (live tv like TLC, weather channel, and fox news, on demand shows, and 1 channel of sirius)

and now since data roaming is free, sprint has the possible largest data networ...

What are you talking about.
I have seen this technology and I personally will be getting the LG I love the screen on that phone. Vcast TV will be separate from Vcast. Our customers will be able to chose each format or both. Also the live TV signal DOES NOT come through any cell tower. it is broadcast separately by Medial flow. the phone will have an indicator that tells you when you can pick up a Live TV signal. One of our main concerns was customer calling in and getting full EVDO signal but no Live TV. Any local channel can be broadcast and watched live on your phone the LG has a large antenna to assist in this fashion. The samsung has a smaller antenna but the signal is very clear. And About Rev-A every EVDO tower already has the needed...

Unlike Sprint, Verizonwireless likes to work out the kinks instead of letting our customers find them.

Are you sure that Vcast TV will be only $20 and will include regular vcast for that price? If so, that's pretty fair pricing. Many people were thinking that VZW would make us pay $15 for vcast plus another $10-20 for the tv service, which would be a complete rip. Also, I hear now that vcast tv will not be available until March instead of the end of this month, is that true?

Launch Cities by end of Jan? What does that mean? Will the 2 phones and the service be available by end of January too?

ummm, the point I was making/asking was this.....several reports since CES have been stating that these phones will be available in March. Lord B said "Launch Cities by end of Jan". I am not sure if he means, it will be launched by end of January, or it will be active by end of January. Does it mean it will be launched officially at the end of January, but only in certain cities, etc? But, regardless, why are CES reports saying the phones won't be released until March? That's what has me a little doubtful.

Well, some cities already have MediaFLO for testing and events, but there are some cities that will be announced for launch with phones at the end of Januaury, then the next set of cities are scheduled the end of March. So all in all the phones and the service should be out by the end of Jan in only a few cities.

Nope, the list was limited. Like 6 or 8 cities in the for the 1st Q time frame, HoFo listed Houston, Seattle, San Diego, San Francisco, New York, and LA from what they can remember.
