That your post was rather dumb.

I suppose one could say it has a vaguely similar form factor, but it's made by a completely different company, and even a cursory glance will tell you it's a different phone. And if you actually read the article, even the brief summary, you'd know that it's different than the HTC Wizard.

Try reading just a tiny bit before expressing a condescending opinion, you'll look like a moron less often.

There's enough people who shoot their mouths off when DO have the sense to read. Dealing with fine print is a big part of my job, so it always annoys me when people spout off before they get the facts right.

His post was dumb. Sometimes you need a harsh response to actually learn something. If it was all nice and sweet, he probably wouldn't have gotten the point.

OK, ENOUGH, you guys are so smart, you probably work for Pharos, so yes, I am dumb you are smart, whatever. I have 10 plus years in wireless.

"GPS firm Pharos today launched its first hybrid GPS/cell phone, a Windows Mobile smartphone called the Pharos GPS Phone."

I did read the article too, it just seems a little pricey for an "across the pond" converged/converted/re-engineered device. You can buy HP6940 series for $500, and that has the same feature set basically. It also said the $699 price was high because they did not want to "go through the drag of the carrier approval process", yeah because NO ONE WOULD APPROVE IT

I think the funniest thing is the name: "GPS Phone". You're right - it IS a lot of money for features that are offered in other phones. And this one doesn't even have a QWERTY like the HTC ones do. A carrier would be dumb to consider this phone.

My original point, however, was that you completely overlooked the basic facts & assumed wrong stuff. You may in fact be quite a smart person, but everyone makes mistakes.
