People will never stop complaining either way...if you go back and check out the ATTWS forums, everyone would complain about how poor everything was with AT&T Wireless, so it's really a never ending cycle, eventually, you will see how everyone is saying how great Cingular was back in "the day" and how poor the New AT&T is...mark my words and just watch.

Either way you slice it the networks are suffering due to short-sighted decisions.

Cingular spent 4 billion branding At&t to Cingular and now probably another 4 billion at least is going to be spent on re-branding yet again.

Where would the network be now if they had spent it on maintaining/expanding it or cs?

Hey, the best part about that is nobody spends more money on network improvements than Cingular does! Go figure. So what does it matter?

What money they spend on re-branding to AT&T they'll save on a unified brand name. A commercial for wireline is just as good as a commercial for wireless and vise-versa. They both get the consumer in the AT&T mindset.

🤣

You must be a woman... for only women believe you can spend money to save money... just ask their husbands.

I understand what you are trying to say, but you are putting a hearty helping of spin on it.

How is there spin on it?

Take any advertising/marketing class in college and tell me what you learn.

A unified brand name saves you money. Actually, it shouldn't even require college courses to understand that...it's called logic.

Lemme take a wild stab...RUFF1415 is employed by Cingular/ AT&T, or his/her dad started the company before dying of cancer...that's the only reason I can think of why you are such a bleeding heart for them...60 posts already to this topic, Ruff is the only "possitive" poster!

Wrong, wrong, wrong, and ohhhh...wait...no, still wrong.

I am not employed by Cingular, AT&T or any telecommunications company for that matter. I simply have a keen interest in business, specifically marketing.

My grandmother did just recently pass away from leukemia, so I didn't appreciate the cancer comment and I find it hard to believe that many people will.

Bleeding heart? Right. You're just sore that I pointed out your misinformation in a post.

And of the 60 posts, perhaps you should actually read them. I'm certainly not the only positive poster on this topic, and if you had indeed read them all you would have found that I'm not entirely for this name change either.

By the way, it's positive...not possitive.

oooo...look out guys, we've got ourselves a PhoneScoop gangster! Haha, relax dude. So you are interested in marketing, yet troll a cell phone site. Huh? And my grandfather died of cancer, but I sucked it up a long time ago and moved on, now I can laugh at things. Try it sometime, it's fun. More fun then correcting my typos...

Dude, it's just a forum. Who cares? Why get so passionate about someone else's postings? It doesn't make any sense. Plus you don't know how close this person is to the relative that passed away. You really need to lighten up and relax.

I second that! This is no place for personal attacks. She/he certainly has a right to express an opinion here. Relax, already!

I have an opinion too, and that is RUFF has been rude and biased. "...it's called logic" and asking for links to a person's info, then trying to discredit it. He's trying to do too much for someone who claims to not be involved at all in wireless...

Okay, making comments about relatives dying of cancer, insulting my late grandmother and doubting the fact that I am in no way involved with any telecom (other than being a consumer) was in no manner rude or biased.

Thanks for being the world's biggest hypocrite...and that was intended to be rude.
