so what do we do about sales then. does this make people now have to convert thier orange chips to blue chips again? what about legacy at&t? dont tell me they will bring free 7pm again?

DOES ANYONE THINK SINCE THE NAME IS BEING CHANGED FOR A 3RD TIME, THEY WILL DECREASE IN CUSTOMERS?

DUDE, this is just a name change, NOT A WIRELESS to WIRELESS MERGER. Cingular is just changing their name back to AT&T, there is no change between systems or anything on the wireless end. It is going to be just like when Voicestream changed to T-mobile.

This isn't that freaking hard of a concept, I can't believe how many people don't get this.

Right on. It's simply a name change that everyone in America recognizes. While I think it will be slightly confusing, the merger has already impressed me with the internal communication to employees when comparing to the Cingular-AT&T Wireless merger.

Customers will get added benefits with the newly combined companies and I think it will help our customer base. You've now got Verizon in one corner and AT&T in the other. Did I mention AT&T is in a higher weight class than Verizona? 😁
