I pay $15 a month for unlimited web and v-cast.. Its not right to advertise on a service that your paying for. Ads are for things like CNET vids, and this website has an ad right aside this column. I already noticed they stick "the more you know" spoofs at the end of some clips I watch. Now if im stuck with an ad ,worse if at the beginning of a clip, I'm paying for ads to annoy me.

Not gonna happen.. I will personaly call verizon everyday and complain.. and I will complain to everyone. Even better I will complain to whoever is advertising on my phone.

So.. the day I get an ad in my face is the day I make verizon staff miserable.

Its the whole mentality of this company that is offensive. This is not surprise, considering the way they soak customers in general, but I think you're right and call away!

You must irritate your cable company and internet provider.

Ok, first of all, my ISP does not fill my computer with pop-up ads, and my cable company does not interrupt my Tv shows with other commercials than the ones the channels display, so you can't possibly compare it with a cable/internet service provider.

Why not? I've seen stupider things on this forum, just thought I'd try to fit in with the rest of the whiners and complainers.

This does raise an interesting question. How would you feel about viewing ads in return for free mobile internet and certain advanced services?

huh, that would be interesting. pretty much like those programs that "pay" you to surf and click ads every now and then.

Not sure how successful that was on the Web. Company in the UK called Gizmondo (I think) tried to launch a portable wi-fi video player and web surfer on that model.... and went out of business. People just resent ads. Somehow, when watching TV, a few minutes of ads in every hour doesn't matter. But on a mobile phone where typically, you are just 'video-snacking', it becomes annoying... I ca't see it working.... Just one man's opinion
