Why is this aircard costing so much? If its the same one offered by Sprint, shouldn't it be $50 after MIR instead of $100?

different companies are able to obtain different deals for thier devices.
simply speculating, it would be that VZW ordered less cards than Sprint, because Sprint is planing on having more Rev A capable towers than VZW in a shorter time. this in turn would probly lead to more people using the Rev A network, which would mean more people buying Rev A capable cards.
really just biols down to supply & demand.
again, this is 100% speculation. if anyone else has any other opinions or facts, please post.

VZW Web site shows $99.99 AFTER $50 mail-in rebate. If this is more than what Sprit charges i'm not surprised, Verizon is very a greedy company.

Its to generate new acts and add to the recurring revenue. Veriz...

In reading the response from Trevor83, it doesn't appear to me that he is really advocating one carrier over another, but simply outlining why VZW charges more for a particular card than say Sprint. Perhaps his choice of expression was somewhat inflamitory but his explination is dead on. The trend is that smaller carriers looking to gain market share will try to cut margins or even take losses in an attempt to steal away market share from the larger carriers. This is what Sprint is trying to do since they've had some terrible financial and growth challenges the last couple of quarters with no end in sight. None of the CDMA carriers in the US make any money on devices. They heaviliy subsidize the cost up front in attempt to make back the mone...
