Sprint...so why oh why would Sprint win PC Magazine's Editor's Choice Award for wireless data networks if they sucked? Just a thought.

it seems that everyone would agree that sprints wireless internet is the best including consumer reports, pc mag, and all of america except verizon employees or the occasional dillusional cingular or tmobile employee.

The only thing I could find from PC Magazine on the internet is at the following link:

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1918217,00.asp »

Seems to me they are a draw since VZW and Sprint/Nextel share the editors choice award.

Now this article was from February 2006. Feel free to post something more recent to back your claims.

Well, I was looking for articles that were comparing apples to apples. This person compared a Rev A network to a Rev 0 network. Of course Rev A will perform better but that's a meaningless comparison. Besides, the Sprint deployment is only marginally ahead of the VZW deployment and thus unlikely to provide them with any significant advantage in terms of attracting customers. In fact I would look for VZW to be covering as many if not more pops with Rev A by the end of the year (my tip).

Maybe now Verizon might be catching up to Sprint, but it has been common knowledge (i though) that Sprint has the most roll-out of 3G than any other carrier. It's what puts them on the map. Honestly, it's all they've got. Sprint has more 3G coverage in more cities and metropolitan areas than anyone else.

I disagree with that general statement. It really depends on the timing of your statement. Both carriers networks are in constant flux. At any given time, one will have more coverage than the other. If you look 1.5 years ago when Rev 0 was deployed VZW had beaten Sprint to the punch by months because Sprint bet the farm on EVDV, which never materialized. So Sprint beat VZW to market with Rev A by 4-5 weeks. Given the minimal converage and lack of devices, I seriously doubt that it will give them much of an advantage in trying to add subscribers. I think there is a good posibility VZW will cover more pops with Rev A by the end of the year.

Sprint has been selling Rev A cards for a couple of months now. VZW doesnt have any out yet. The only people with a lack of device is VZW, so I think that may just make a difference.

B/c PC Mag should stick to PC. They shouldn't be reviewing Cell phones service.

They have rights to review the hardware.

Besides, theyare comparing Rev 0 vs Rev A. What kind of review is that?

If they want to review the whole package, why not do it the right way?

Don't be calling other people idiots - it makes you look bad.

So you are saying that they should review the cards, but not talk about the actual use of the card? Besides that when did we start censoring companies and their opinions. Someone says some good stuff about Sprint and suddenly they aren't qualified to do so? I believe the article even said that VZW isn't that far behind... so stop drinking the hater-aid. You know why Sprint users get on here all pissed off and have to say something to you freakin VZW pawns? Its because the company and the users talk and act like they are leaps and bounds ahead of Sprint. The people that are smart enough to know better get angry. And rightfully so, seeing as how we weren't brainwashed by an advertising campaign that lasted years telling us that we have the bes...

Say what you want with Sprint being first here, there, everywhere.

But the numbers can't back-up their claims. Numbers don't lie.

Every year, iDen problem or not, Sprint can't seem to pull their numbers - even with their "FIRST EVERYTHING" method. 🤣

numbers don't really mean anything when we are talking about "most used". look at mcdonald's- no one sells more burgers than they do, but i doubt you'll be touting them as the best burger in the united states. but then again... you sound like every other verizon worshiper. you might think mcdonald's is the best, too.

but remember sprint is cosistently known for comparing apples to oranges. (Sprints EV-DO v.s. EDGE). It seems that even intellegent PC mags fell for their marketing techniques... 🙄
