ok so now what?

So now I finally have Rev. A in my area. If I buy a 700p will it use Rev A or Rev 0?

sprint will most likely have an upgrade for existing rev 0 phones just as they do have an upgrade for existing rev 0 aircards...

I thought it was a different chipset that prevented the rev.0 phones/cards from being capable of rev.A.

That is correct, rev 0 handsets will not take advantage of rev A. This is why Sprint has launched a new lineup of rev. A air cards. There are Rev A handsets in testing now though...
