18:9?
What's with "18:9"? It should be stated as "2:1". Every kid learns that in elementary school when beginning to learn about fractions. Are we as a nation really that poorly educated now, we can't even state basic fractions correctly?

I feel the same way, which is why we say 2:1 in our specs. We're trying to make it happen.
But most of the industry is using 18:9 so far, because people are used to seeing/hearing 16:9 and it's more obvious how the two ratios compare when you say "16:9" vs "18:9".
