So far the two, well actually three, people who have commented on this development have bashed West Virginia. Have you ever lived here? Have you ever really investigated the CDMA coverage in WV? Have you read up on anything in WV about wireless? Let me help you folks out. Other than the quickly diminishing Analog service in WV (extreme rural markets now), CDMA is quite dominant when it comes to wireless coverage. GSM being second, and IDEN (Nextel) a distant third. In this specific instance the purchase of WV Wireless (a spin off MVNO GSM carrier)will not really grow the CDMA coverage in southern WV at all. All it will be doing is giving Verizon the ability to activate in that part of the state and have "local" tower systems there. They will...

West Virginia is a beatiful state. I have driven through it many times. Anyone who bashes it is foolish.

Anyone that thinks they know what a state is like just by driving through is foolish. 🙄

In my youth, I participated in a mission trip to West Virginia and we visited a small town. This town had a large concrete causeway flowing through the middle of it; it was into this causeway that all of the town sewage flowed freely into. If you were to walk over a bridge that traversed the causeway, you could look down and see toilet paper and turds flowing serenely down stream.

West Virginia is beautiful, all right.

In your youth? How many years ago was that?! That unnamed area must have really needed help to require missons; perhaps the kind of help that mission trips give to third world countries. If I were to follow your same line of thinking, then the entire world is as bad as the conditions I see on the "feed the children" commercials. What you saw 100 years ago on a mission trip to a neglected rural town is not enough evidence to accurately judge the entire state, nor this country.

I think I figured something out (and I'm being totally serious here).

Maybe this is where we get the saying "poop" flows downhill....

And is a part of your mission trips to insult and ridicule the people and places you are supposedly helping?
