I got the phone last Friday and I have to say it is one of the best phones i've seen from Verizon in a while. Anyways checkout my review if you are interested:

The phone has two themes if that is what you are asking. Both are totally different, one is called the Communicator style which is blue and very graphical. The other theme is the VZW theme which is black and green, it is more like the classic red themes in all VZW phones except with new icons and colors.

Also i do not think you can change the two softkeys, but I know for sure you can configure all four up/down/left/right keys to whatever you'd like.

I just don't really see the point of something like this when Treo and other smartphones do so much more so much better. And who wants to buy into this vcast nonesense which is just another way for vzw to extract money from us. Its nice to have a keyboard that big but not on a device that doesn't really let you take advantage of it. Another snooze phone from McWireless.

Actually you can. It's still in WAP format, but it's getting better all the time with the newest web browsers available on these newer phones. I can actually navigate and reply to messages on myspace on my phone (currently the samsung 930). It will get better, but remember it is NOT a pda smart phone! Big difference.

Not full HTML.. but it has Moble web 2.0

you dont get all the internet like our PC's, like you tube videos...

But you do get pictures and info..

Basically if you need information you can get it..

text, pictures, porn, wickpidea, google, all work great.

unless its a PDF or flash ect you dont have the software to display it.

yes if you have a web based email account like yahoo or gmail

Google and some other sites now have web pages made just for cellphones.

I have Gmail but I use Outlook partly for the calendar and contacts, partly because i cant stand the way gmail is organized into conversations instead of chronilogical order like other emails. If i use gmail on my phone will it be in conversations or standard? thanks.

I am able to access Hotmail just fine on my original current "V" so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to on the enV.

The phone has the standard Mobile WAP 2.0. No improvement here. It is pretty much the same web features, with some minor enhancements, that I had on my VX7000 which I purchased 2 years ago. That was the one disappointing part. However you can still read news, weather, sports, scores, account settings and such. Email will work for for online email provides who have a mobile web edition. (aol, gmail, hotmail, and yahoo all do)

The phone also has its own new email client, but you will need to play $20/month to use it which is a ripoff in my opinion

Ok, here is my noob question.

What advantage does this phone have over a Windows Mobile phone such as the new Treo or the Motorola Q?

It seems like this phone is as expensive as the PDA/Smartphone, but it doesn't offer things that they do, while a PDA/Smartphone offers everything that the enV does.

Hopefully this will answer your question. I have the Audiovox 6700 pda and the LG-vx9800. I use both of them because although the 6700 is a great data phone, I really don't like it as a phone to make and recieve calls. (touch screen using a stylis or my thumb is very dangerous while driving) Plus I like the freedom of not needing to bring the pda with me everywhere I go, esp. when I know I won't need the data feature for a day or so.
Plus since the 6700 picks up wi-fi where I live and work I can use it then and be on the phone at the same time.
The 9800 is able to pick up my personal non-business email while I'm on the fly and the qwerty keyboard makes it just as easy for replying to yahoo, hotmail, email ect.

This phone has alot of Nay-sayers. This is a phone, not a PDA, if you want something with Windows, buy a PDA. This is something you would compare to the lg8300/8500/8600 and the 9800. Same functionally, different form.

MP3/WMA player
Stereo BT
VCast

Main thing this is for is text messaging, Instant Messaging (AOL, MSN, Yahoo!). The Mock PDA function is a wireless sync much like a pda but for pop3 to check your e-mail at timed increments, ie every 5, 10, 15 mins etc. $19.99 wireless Sync

Mobile Web is available but it is the same as every other VZW phone on the market and there was no plan to update that.
