Replying to: Instinct = Failure upon Arrival by bluecoyote
I don't doubt that you have access through the phone through Samsung. I have a friend that works for Sanyo and had the phone that I have long before it was out so that he could test it. I've also had some Samsung phones in the past and wasn't completely satisfied with them. I have however used this phone, thanks to a friend that works at a Sprint store, and I haven't encountered the touch screen issue nor have any of the employees, including one of them that has an iphone. And as far as a much nicer phone on a much nicer network? I'm sorry, the features of the iphone don't stack up to the features of this phone. I've had Sprint for 6 years and haven't had any problems with erratic call quality here in San Diego nor when I lived in LA or Palm Springs. The 3G coverage (voice and data) and the data rates of Cingular don't match EVDO Rev. A, although the browser of the iphone is sooo much better than on the Instinct I must admit. And the plans of Sprint are also cheaper and you don't have to pay extra for 7pm nights... I really like the iphone especially when it came out. I just like this phone so much more because of the multimedia features, the GPS that I use on my current sprint phone that I know is much better than the iphones, the sprint service that I'm already familiar with and that fact that I can access my email from the phone and the camcorder that it also has besides the camera. I have had some buggy Samsung phones but in my time playing with the phone, I have encountered the problems with the touch screen or the reception...
