We don't typically review navigation features. We mentioned it in the "extras" section. The review unit we have was not set up to access the Navigation service, otherwise we would have commented slightly more in depth on it.

"The review unit we have was not set up to access the Navigation service."

What does that tell you?...

I'll expect you to review the 3G iPhone's new GPS features just as lightely then.

I just didn't find this review up to the other ones I've read on PhoneScoop. You spent a lot of time harping on the camera, close to no time talking about the Sprint TV service, or how you can sideload videos, what happens when one pushes the top signal area, or how the instinct's GPS features go beyond that of other Sprint phones, being fully integrated into the interface and Live search (something I also heard close to nothing about).

when every other review has priased the touch screen and it's responsiviness and called the phone "good", I find this review highly suspect. You said similar reviews "are saying the same things". Really? Where?

So far...

I disagree- I think PhoneScoop was very objective with their tests and didn't dwell on the fact it was an iPhone competitor much (given Sprint's massive ad campaign touting it as such.)

I used the touch screen on the Instinct and found it to be right in line with the reviewer's. The only people who will find it "good" are people using the LG Prada or gadawful Samsung Glyde by comparison.

It obviously fails at the basics- the reviewer pointed it out very plain and simple.

Massive ad campaign as in one website?

And no, you HAVEN'T used the Instinct. You have a thorough history of outright lying about using phones you never have. Come to think about it, you were BANNED from Sprint Users for lying about "testing a phone in your lab" that you hadn't. Your a fraud apple fanboy, you always have been, and unfortunetly for you, I still remember.

1) http://gizmodo.com/388086/sprint-spending-100 -million-to-kick-iphone-in-the-nuts-iphone-we aring-cup Massive ad campaign as in $100 million big ones.

2) You have been banned how many times from SU? I was banned for a comment I made on Hilary Clinton in an off-topic forum. That was a 1 year ban, and unlike you, I did not keep coming back under fake aliases trolling the forum. I had someone cross-post my iPhone review to the forum as well.

3) I don't know where you think I made up "testing a phone in your lab that I don't have" but I've tested phones before and have reviewed them objectively.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again- I support good products. If Apple has made something as half-baked as the Instinct, my t...

The problem is, one of the reviewers stated in this very forum that the Instinct's touchscreen is similar to the Glyde's and that is just plain wrong, even by your account.

I too was dissapointed to not hear mention of the Navigation, GPS based Live Search, live TV and radio. These things are features that people will be able to use with out paying extra. I am currently using a Centro which does not have GPS, but with previous phones, I used Live Search almost on a daily basis. I also use the TV feature whenever I find myself needing to wait. Quite handy.
