Verizon fanboys, you can go nuts now. :P
Here's your excuse to officially drool and slobber all over your much dally-hooed provider. It seems they're finally trying to do something good with Data.
::pulls out hundreds of bibs and hands them out::

Something good with data? VZW is the largetst DATA providing wireless company in terms of revenue
...
Uh. No.
How many times does this have to be pointed out? Sprint has a higher number of subscribers for data. Sprint has a higher RPU for data than VZW.
Lets be clear. Verizon has the highest VOICE revenue, not data. Its already been debated TO DEATH in other forums. Verizon = great voice. Sprint = amazing data. Look at numbers. Sprint has more data subscribers. Higher speeds (think Rev A). Higher RPU (think around $10/sub).

Seems to me Sprint is setting themselves apart with receding net adds, bad financials, high churn and poor customer service. I'll agree that Sprint has some innovative products, and their data network is pretty good too. I wouldn't go so far as to say they kick everyones butt though. I think studies show that there is a slight throughput advantage to Sprint in EVDO. However it is small enough that most customers won't notice a difference. Other carriers have as many or more resources to through at their data networks and products to meet or exceed this minor speed advantage. The truth is though, it doesn't make financial sense at this time. There are only a select few data services that are financial heavy hitters and all the major carriers ...
