They are leading the industry with data speeds and unique services, and verizon continues offer vcast for 15 bucks with no content 🙄

Very true. Now if only Sprint can get those 3+million gross ads to actually sign up. Perhaps this and the dual mode devices are going to help do that.

They are leading with data speeds.. until Verizon surpasses them.
They certainly dont offer anything else unique.

You have to pay extra for mobile-to-mobile calling?? Yeah.. that's unique allright.

Verizon isn't going to surpass Sprint when it comes to data. Sprint has EV-DO in more places, is already lighting up REV A. in many markets, Already testing MediaFLO (VUE), already offers more content than Verizon (JAVA > BREW), Has 4G WiMax in the works and now partnering with Cable Cos. It seems to me that when it comes to their "Tech", Sprint is seeing a shrinking Verizon in the rear view mirror. The only thing Verizon has the advantage in is advertising. They have you lemmings eating up the "It's the network" crap. LOL!

How quickly they forget! It was only a few years ago that Verizon was the red headed stepchild because of the whole merger thing between Bell Atlantic, Airtouch, GTE and Primeco. That merger had some real rough spots as well. What about paying roaming to use Verizon's network in an adjacent market because the companies were former competitors on different bands?
Sprint will be fine just like Cingular and Verizon

Thats fancy... But in the end verizon will plan things right for 4G and make more money.. And making money is the point. If sprint worked on customer realtions more then maybe they would have more umm.. customers.. er seeing is how customers give money for service.. so bad service = no customers = no money.

In the end I predict Verizon buying Sprint anyhow.

As they say in a sprint store when your done with a conversation.... * nothing.

Have a nice day! :-)

WAITING FOR THE VX-9900!!! whoo hooo

I still am waiting for someone to PROVE that Sprint has EVDO in more places than VZW. Still nothing but talk. I've look at VZW's data maps and they damned near exce...

Go to Sprint.com and look at the coverage.
In the Northwest Veizon has limited their EVDO to major cities, Sprint has EVDO coverage in smaller cities as well. Verizon continues to sell Vcast phones and services in markets without EVDO and even in areas outside of the footprint. The telesales department continually sells Verizon to people outside of Verizon licensed markets and adds data products. So much for ethics. But it increases net adds so who cares, right?

Actually most Sprint plans include M2M and most of the ones that don't include unlimited PTT. Also their $15 Vision pack includes unlimited pictures and the $15 Power Vision pack includes some media content and still includes NFL Mobile Application and I believe Sprint Power View. That is a lot more than what VZW offers and the $20 PV pack includes unlimited pictures, Sirius Hits and 1 free monthly music download.

from what i understand, all but 1 sprint plan offers mobile to mobile and thats the 29.99 plan. it wouldnt matter anyways because they have 7pm nights for free, even on your verizon tower.

before you down sprint on vision, look at this. sprint offers 15 dollars for regular vision but it includes internet, PM, VM, and TV(live too) and sirius hits 1 and NFL mobile and NFL network.

PV offers more channels and more and actully offers 4 music downloads.

now since comcast is not together with sprint, there will be alot of advertising and will help sprint

Maybe so.
But most of the Sprint Stores are getting rid of their techs.. thats not going to go over well.

I had Sprint for years.. EVERY month my bill was either messed up or I was double charged and it always took weeks to clear things up.

Then when i moved I couldnt get a signal. So i went with where i had coverage.. Verizon.

As a Sprint tech let me address this. Its funny that your argument is that some locations are going to be sales only when Verizon does not even have techs. Actually last I checked Sprint was the only cellular company that has techs at most of their locations. Actually prior to becoming a Sprint sales rep I worked as a tech for Verizon on the east coast. They have a contract through a company called Solectron.

And yet people are still flocking to Cingular and Verizon. Maybe that's a clue that the data isn't the most important thing to users. Don't confuse that with its the most important thing to you, big difference. The best business model caters to the masses and rakes in the most mon...

i dont care about right now because right now sprint is doing a great job and is sleeping for a year. once wimax is released, its gunna rock all the wireless carriers worlds
