i wish something like this was out a few months ago. i really wanted an mp3 phone and i had been with sprint for nearly 6 years. always great service and excellent call quality. but when it came time to upgrade my phone, i was so disappointed by the offerings. i really feel that sprint has lost touch with what consumers want. their limited phone company selection needs to change. their fusic just plain sucked (and navigation is awful on that phone!) and the samsung mp3 phone seemed flimsy to me. i finally left for another company that carried the sony walkman phones (the w810 is great)
i know when i was a sprint rep, people would always ask for phone from companies sprint didn't deal with.
i hope that this phone turns them around. ...

yOU MUST BE NUTZ CUZ THE FUSIC IS ONE OF THE BEST PHONES THAT I HAVE OWNED SINCE WORKING WITH AND HAVING SPRINT SERVICE. THE SAMSUNG BLADE AND A920 WERE BOTH GOOD PHONES AS WELL. IT HELPS TO KNOW WHAT YOU WANT WHEN LOOKING FOR A PHONE, AND YOU ALSO HAVE TO BE SMARTER THAN WHAT YOU'RE WORKING WITH TOO.

No reason to get hateful with him. If he didn't see what he wanted then he didn't see what he wanted. I will stand by the a920 till the end though. That has been the best phone i have ever had and hasn't completely changed me from being a sanyo fan to a samsung fan but it's very close. Time will tell on that one. If it stands up to my clumsiness I may be a huge fan of it. My old sanyo took a shot from the claw end of a hammer though so that's durability at it's finest.

These phones are getting smarter and smarter though!!

its tru the nine20 wuz a good phone but it sux because they took that phone off too quick.... i used to sell alot of the phone.... that wuz one of my best selling phones...i dont agree on the nine hundred... that battery life just kills me...and when u put the extented battery on it it loses the purpose of having a slim phone....

Ok, first I'm impressed you can spell the word "smarter" since the proper spelling of "nuts" and "because" seems to have eluded you. And another helpful hint. That key on the left side of your keyboard labeled capslock does a magical thing when you press it.

And I do know what I want. That's why I shopped around for over two months. I used to sell Sprint as well. I am very familiar with them and their products.

I'm also thrilled you like your Fusic. I also challenge you to walk over to a cingular store and check out the w810i. Just compare them...with an open mind. You'll see why I prefer that over the Fusic and why I left Sprint. Fair?

I know this isn't a forum for a Fusic or a w810i review, but if you are going to type in all caps, I have no choice but to respond.

Fusic vs w810i

W - can run music player while using other functions (games, calendar, etc)
F - can only run one function at a time

W - ships with a 128 mb card
F - 64 mb

W - MS Duo cards available up to 4GB; 8GB soon to follow
F - microSD may be up to 2GB by now

W - 2mp camera
F - 1.3 mp camera

W - long history of music players
F - long history of refrigerators

W - hidden internal antennae
F - stub

W - Talk time 8 hours
F - 4.5

W - 1000 contacts
F - 500 contacts

W - calculator
F - calculator + tip calculator
Well there's the reason the Fusic is better.

I will give you t...

Sprint is actually getting the RZR, KRZR, SLVR and Q so hopefully that will help the lineup. Don't expect to see the walkman phone with them though because I understand there has been some fallings out with Sony in the past.

Nobody had a fall out with Sony. Sony decided to quit making CDMA phones a few years ago. Nokia also recently decided to quit making CDMA phones.

sprint quit carring sony long before sony ericson left the cdma market. do not count the t608 sprint never offically carried the phone and it was the ONLY bluetooth phone at the time. the last offical sony phone sprint had was the z phone back in the 90s when it was one of 2 phones the company offered.

Wow. You complain about the fusic that was rated really high. You are just picky. 🙄

yes, i am picky. i'm looking for a good working phone that is user friendly. the fusic is tricky to navigate and the 2 separate music players is just plain stupid. and really, what's with the external antennae. i thanked the sprint gods when my nokia was sans antennea. seems a step backwards to put one on a new model.

i really wanted to like the fusic but it just didn't seem ready to me. (i also liked that the w810 can accomodate up to a 4GB stick)

as for the samsung, i've had problems with their phones in the past. perhaps they are better but i've been burned by them before (poor construction and sound quality).

it's a toss up. cdma is going to get you the best call quality but gsm offers more phone choices. i decided to la...

phone and durability wise, its great. sanyo is the king at that.

camera, music player, and overall design wise, it's far from the top.

Actually, I've agreed with you for the most part up to this point...

Sanyo camera phones, in my histroy of phone use, have beat out LG, Samsung, Nokia, and Motorola (by far!). Picture quality is great for a camera phone.

And, as far as music player capabilities, they are the loudest in the Sprint line-up to date.
