Uh... let's see. Any review site will tell you that Sprint offers more content than Verizon. Sprint has EV-DO in more places than Verizon. Sprint is launching EV-DO Rev.A faste than Verizon. On average, Sprint EV-DO gets higher speeds than Verizon. Sprint's unlimited EV-DO plans are truely unlimited, while Verizon's unlimited plans are unlimted until Verizon decides that you use it too much and cancels you. While almost all CDMA carriers customize and ...

[maury povich]The lie detector test determined...that was a lie[/maury povich]. I have VZW and they definitely have the '800 pound gorilla' syndrome when it comes to customer service. T-Mobile's CS trumps VZW's...

No one can really talk about this unless they know what and where the numbers really are. The ONLY reason why T-Mob is rated #1 with customer service is because customers have better experience in their stores, that's the ONLY reason. But when the company as a whole has churn well over 2%, what's missing here. By you saying T-Mob trumps VZW is completely false.

Is the store experience NOT a part of customer service?

Yes - however the store experience carried far more weight than in store experience. If the weight was switched and the call centers had the same weight as in store then vzw would have beat T-Mob. But it's all good, it gives vzw something to work on. =)

What is there to argue about messaging? VZW has text, picture and video messaging... so does Sprint? What makes VZW's messaging so much better? Yes... Verizon has SOME a2dp phones... and so does Sprint. I didn't say, Verizon wasn't getting Rev.A... I am just saying Sprint got it first. Remember, this thread was originally about how much better Verizon allegedly is. I am just pointing out all of the aspects that Verizon gets beat by Sprint. Verizon only beats Sprint with their phone upgrade program. I'll admit that existing VZW customers get sweet deals on their new phones... but I would rather get fully functional phones for a little more money. About the Opera browsers... it lets me view FULL (non-wap) webpages on my phone. It isn't hard to...

well wats makes verizons messeging better is that you dont have to go online to retrieve a picture of a video, and when you do that on sprint thats wat you have to do. and if you dont have a vision package you get charged for going online to retrieve your picture message. while on verizon everything comes to the phone no need to go online to retrive a picture. that means no charge for something i shouldnt get charged for. plus with verizon you get free mobile to mobile texting. also if sprints broadband is so fast then why do they need to compare themselves with cingular and not verizon. and you have to wait on verizon? lets see navigation on verizon, lets see how long it will take sprint to get that up, being able to download full songs and...

You act as if Sprint phones don't have memory card slots. Once again you still haven't said what Verizon does better. You can access the Music Store without a Vision pack. Also... All Sprint EV-DO phones DO have MMS-style Picturemail now. The picture gets delivered to the phone. Only non EV-DO phones use WAP for pictures. Verizon does have an ass kicking advertising group working for them. That is why all of you Verizon sheep keep following... you buy into "It's the network" crap.

oh i know sprint phones have memory cards, but let see which ones that they sell at this moment that verizon doesnt sell also that have a memory card slot, fusic, 8400 and a920 not even the a900 and katana have a card slot, compared to verizons lineup of the 8300, 8500, 9800, a990 and so on, my point again verizon has better phones. the messaging is better overall cause as long as the phone has a camera you can recieve pictures right on the phone even if its not evdo (ex. vx5300, moto 325). and i see you dont want to talk about the broadband issue ive been bringing up, i guess sprint has to target lesser competition in cingular cause they cant mess with the big boys. oh yeah and i guess you do get charged to retrieve pictures online with spr...

Lets see, you neglect to mention the Fusic, which is the first to have an FM transmitter. Sprint target's Cingular because they are the #1 carrier in terms of customers... when you go fishing, you fish in the pond that has the most fish, right? Yes, Verizon was first to offer EV-DO, but then Sprint still maganged to get more EV-DO coverage out there than Verizon. If you read Laptop magazine's recent Wireless special report, they talk up Sprint's Power Vision to be superior to VCast. Also... Verizon's network is so good that they have to hide the roaming areas as native on their maps. Gotta love that "Extended Network" wool pulled over your eyes.

and the canceling part on evdo plans is just bogus.

You're wrong on that point.

Verizon will cut you off if you exceed a set amount of usage with EVDO. We were just talking about this at last night's meeting (I'm a Verizon Agent), it does happen and Verizon doesn't try to hide it. It's in the T&C.
