So it doesn't really matter what software is in the phone, NTP has the patent on "wireless email over RF". It's like someone coming out and saying "Hey, I own the patent on how a car engine works" and suing ford, then chevy, and so on. It comes down to a fine line of something being public domain or not, as RIM tried to prove. Short Message Systems SMS is used by every company. Who owns that patent? When are they coming out?
And on top of that, it obviously appears to be a get rich quick scheme now for NTP. If companies infringed upon NTP's intellectual property 6-7 years ago, why didn't they react then?
