The EnV2 looks TOO focused on texting, if you feel me. Plus, I'd rather have a screen with a nice desktop to look at when the unit is closed rather than a line or two and a huge keypad 
I wonder..can you purchase the Curve and NOT get a smartphone plan? Even if you can, it feels as if it'd be overkill just to get a QWERTY texting phone. Perhaps if I did purchase the Curve, I could add the $30 packet at a later date when and if I needed it.
Then again, the Curve is actually cheaper than the Glyde.. choices, choices.
