Very tempting...and a question about vib/sound

I wasn't at all aware of the Glyde until this morning, and it looks very enticing. I'm a heavy text-messager and I find little need for the internet on the go. With that said, the Glyde may be a better choice for me than the Blackberry Curve recently announced by Verizon. (I'd hate to spend the additional $30 a month and not use the smartphone features.)

The review wasn't terribly clear in talking about ringers and vibration: I use my phone for my primary alarm clock- will this thing wake me up?

Can't wait to fiddle with it at Verizon..
