Who care who was first US carrier the have the first high speed data network. I don't understand people who where their brands on their sleeves. Don't you realize the large coporations have you right where you want them when you do that?

If you use cingular and you're happy, GREAT! Keep using it. If your happy with sprint, GREAT! I think people should stop so blindly falling in love with products and start being wiser consumers who don't fall so easily to marketing.

Sure the corporations have us right where they want us. They invest billions of dollars to make sure that happens. Good for them in making a wise financial decision. If I were in their position, you can can bet I would do the same thing.

Its a matter of pride. I take pride in everything I do. I then excel in everything I do. Energy and excitement is at the core of any great idea or movement.

Cost isnt everything. If all my friends and family are on verizon, but Sprint is less expensive, I will still go with verizon. After that I would take pride in Verizon because it is the company who puts me in close touch with my friends and family.

Its pride. Not Blind Faith.

The most effective form of marketing is word of mouth. When someone finds a product they like, or are excited about, they share with thier friends.

You catogorize all cell phone geeks together.. I have had Verizon. I have had Cingular. I've sold T-Mobile and I CHOSE Sprint. I am a wise consumer. I speak highly of Sprint not because I work for them, but because I have other carriers to compare it to. If people dont wear their brands on their sleeves, it almost shows they are unhappy. I wear Sprint on my sleeve. I dont understand why you seem to think that it's a bad thing. I think you should not "blindly" group people together.

If you owned a business you want people to speak highly of you. You would want people to represent you, right?...

When you know that a company is better than another one it is like being in a club. Of course you want to brag about a new product that comes out. Wait until WiMax is launched. Power up with Sprint. 😎

If you were a company that had to compete for the hearts and wallets of millions of consumers, and your company came out with a product that made their lives easier and also gave you more money and more customers, wouldn't you want the people who use and sell it to brag about it and have forum debates about whose product is better?
You would want the consumer to tell all their friends and family. You wouldn't want them to be ashamed of what product they purchased. The marketing that no corporation can control but highly wants is word of mouth. So you want people bragging about it.
As a consumer though, when you hear this word of mouth marketing, you are supposed to find out the facts, and compare for yourself. Find out which company will ...
