Another ROKR Leaks Out
How did the original do?
They did a much better job with the E2, but unfortunately they burned all their cred with the E1, so very few carriers worldwide want to take another chance with the E2. They did find a few takers, but not many. For the same reason, even fewer carriers wanted the E3, which is why it was canceled.

TO be honest I really wanted to see the Samsung i300 series come to the States in a CDMA version. I will reserve my Samsung where are you rants for later.
Hopefully carriers (Cingular) will start to take notice of the newer, and better ROKRS, because the newer one is definetly better.
The "trend" of combining mp3 players & cell phones has been predicted by gadget geeks & tech analysts as long as there have been cell phones & mp3 players - long before even the E398 (upon which the ROKR was based) was designed.

I thought that the original was a bust? Did it sell well? I never had anybody ask about it so I figured it was a flop, but now they are making a sequal?
The first one was above average. My only gripe about that one, was that it runs ridiculously slow if you're running the iTunes as well. Sound quallty is off the chain, leaps and bounds over the SLVR. Shock resistance is awesome; I had dropped it from a flight of stairs while playing and it was still bumping after contact. Put in a better OS, video capablility, and a lil' more bump to them speakers and i'd say the phone would the ultimate for the mp3 users.
ONe.
