This hybrid technology for cdma and iden direct connect should have been in the works since the merger happened. 😡
i'm tired of customers getting angry when i tell them that ready link and direct connect are 2 different technologies, and cannot communicate with one another.
as for the hybrids that use cdma for voice calls, and iden for data, this is still going to force customers to buy the new phones, which will result in a $36 upgrade fee, and if they get suckered into using their rebates, an other 2 year contract. ☚ī¸

It was in the works, but in order to run Qchat REV A must be on the network.

The new hybrid coming out will have data and voice with CDMA and push to talk with IDEN.
