Old Hat, "QR CODES" are much better and simpler

Hate to break it to them, but that type of msg-/data-push is an old Hat. As usually in the mobile-comm field, the Japanese are ahead of us again. It's called QR CODE. it's a 2D-barcode, that any cam-phone can read technically.

Just point you cellular to the 2D-code, take a snapshot, and you've the data loaded in your phone. Works off any PC-monitor, TV-screen, paper-magazine or bill-boards even and can contain a vast array of information/data

so why needing something thats technologically is more cumbersome ?

well, i personally think that both technologies could have their uses. the obvious advantage of having a bar code is that it could be displayed non-electronically, and it could be really inexpensive to operate.

the problem, though, is that we are talking about things like ringtones, games, pictures, songs, and other stuff that will take up WAY more room than a small visual barcode could carry.
