I'm assuming as in the past LG has it's own proprietary OS for

It runs on android operating sys. When I use google it will ask on certain web sites if I want to download the google app.

The chipset is almost certainly a Snapdragon 210.

If it runs an OS like BrewMP or stripped-down Android, don't expect to reap any of the benefits like apps. This is not a smartphone.
