Insane!
What were they thinking? This phone is not even out yet and it's already outdated.A VGA cam!EDGE, no 3G!
No wonder they say it's more close to the 650.
And gotta wait for all the way in mid '07 for such an "old" phone and at $199!They expect people to buy them when other companies like HTC and Samsung,Blackberry or Moto are releasing appealing and feature-pack smartphones.

Sure those others have better features, thats why you can get an Orange 680!! Who cares how good your smartphone is an long as its in color!!

Actually, I think that really is part of the marketing ploy. The phone coming in different colors seems to indicate that they're targeting a younger demographic. And using a VGA camera and EDGE versus multimegapixels and UMTS is a way to keep the cost down. I think they're going after people who wouldn't normally consider PDAs/smartphones.

That may be what they're saying, but it's still pathetically little advancement in 2 YEARS since the 650 came out. It does keep the cost down, but it's still much higher than it should be. The only thing even close to unique or special about this thing is Palm OS (though current Palm OS treo users would probably notice the differences more keenly than anyone else). It's a sign that they're committed to keeping it around for at least a little while longer. Other than that; no wifi, no gps, no 3G, no Bluetooth 2.0, not even a new form factor (tough the omission of the bulky antenna is nice).
It will be something that sells somewhat well for a while. . . until the 750 is available here.

I agree, I agree,. . .I agree, it is GARBAGE!!!

Most people with a treo or any pda dont even have a data plan anyway, they just get them to look cool.
