i am confused on a few topics,

so your saying anyone who has sprint and did not pay them any money after oct. 1 can cancel without any fee's? i dont understand how this is possible.

also, if this is so, does it include nextel customers too?

That's exactly what this is saying. Because changing the price of texts falls under "material changes" and Sprint contracts state that if any "material changes" are made, customers who have not made a payment during that billing cycle can cancel service without penalty.

As far as Nextel customers, I don't know. I guess it would depend on the wording of the contract that was signed and WHEN it was signed (ie, before or after the Sprint-Nextel merger).
