The Glyde is basically a touch screen phone with a html browser (not wap). It should be compared to the Voyager and not the env2. They are not PDA's. The Glyde has one less row of keys on the slide out keypad. The LG keypad layout (Voyager and ENV2) in my opinion is a bit easier to use with better spacing of the keys. Glyde's touch screen does seem to be a bit more responsive. It does not (to the best of my knowledge) have the capability to view live broadcast TV like the Voyager. Then again, it's price point is $100 less as of 5-30-08.
Only get this phone if you are going to get VCast which is basically unlimited internet usage without download charges. The Premium package is the best bang for the buck with any of these phone.
The env2 is a great phone at its price point. There isn't too much more you can ask a phone to do for 99.99 or free if you have a $100 New Every 2 credit. The biggest complaint of the old ENV was that the number pad on the front was tiny. This has been corrected. Hopefully a software update will come out and let you listen to music while doing other things with the phone like the new chocolate does. If enough people complain to Verizon maybe they will make it happen.
As for complaints about the UI. Verizon phones typically have the same UI on each phone so when you upgrade to new phone you don't have to learn a new system, you are already familiar with it and therefore there is no frustrating new learning curve.
Basically the choices are HTML browsing, choose the Voyager of Glyde. No html, the ENV2 is a fantastic choice.
