Unless you have a considerable amount of disposable income, and bought the env2 along with the Vu, I see it as difficult to defend your opinion. Comparing the Vu and the env2 is like comparing apples and oranges. From what I have read, the vu gets good reviews granted. The env2 doesn't strive to be the vu; we have the dare for that. For what it is, the stands unique, and happily so. 😎

From what I would say I see, The Vu does look similar, but appears to be smarter in quite a few areas.
