I'm going to get a holster, but my local Verizon didn't have them yet, I'm actually going to check back with them later today.
The camera lense cover would be nice. A raised chrome ring around it to deflect direct hits would be at least something, like my old LG VX8100 has. In two years of owning that, I smacked the chrome a few times, but it always deflected away the blow from the recessed lense.
But the sound quality is an issue here. I just called *611 for Verizon service. They think it's got a factory defect and want to send another phone, so I'm just going to exchange the unit. It's mainly the right speaker sounding funny, and when I put my hands free set on, the distortion goes away, so the customer service rep said that it's more then likely a bad speaker and it'd be a simple swap to a new handset. So I'm going to see how that goes. He offered to ship one Monday, but I said I was going to go to the store today anyway to try to get a holster clip so I'd just have them check it out and replace it if necessary.
I'll update this once I get a new handset or a diagnosis.
