Was hoping to hear how the screen looks in comparison to the S8/S8+ and G6. The Sprint Bolt screen left a lot to be desired. Especially with people having issues with half the screen going black.

What amazes me is just how different the displays of the G6, S8, and U11 really are.

The S8 is Samsung's Super AMOLED, which means colors are oversaturated, but you get amazing blacks and excellent outdoor visibility. I prefer screens that are more accurate. Both the G6 and U11 use LCDs, which have narrower viewing angles and lower outdoor visibility. The benefit is more accurate colors. Of these three phones, I like the G6's the most. The Dolby Vision and HDR+ video make sure the LCD's blacks are as inky as the S8's.

The U11's screen holds its own, to be sure, and is close to the G6 in terms of quality. It's tight, but I'd rate them G6, S8, U11 in terms of best to worst (and in this case, "worst" is still pretty darned good.)

Hi! I bought this phone unlocked and use it on Verizon but I don't think that makes a difference as far as your question. In direct comparison to the s8/ G6, the screen is still beautiful, clear and sharp. I took it with me to the store. The design of the S8 wit its edge to edge display is just gorgeous, and the colors pop on it but I love the screen on this phone. For more the $200 less, I have know regrets. I think I liked the u11 screen a bit more the the Lg6. I thought that one was just slightly dimmer.
