Nice jab. Motorola no longer uses the CE Bus charging port. It has used the mini USB port on all phones for over a year and most GSM models for almost two years.

All of the slim models have used the mini USB port, which is excellent.

Time to wake up.

Knowing Sprint, these handsets are going to have a universal charging port that most handsets they carry use.

True, but those are the only Sanyo and Samsung phones like that. All the other models from those manufacturers since then have had the universal port. A920, A640, 8400, 3100 just to name a few.

For handsets like the RAZR, I doubt that Motorola would change the way it charges for Sprint.

Motorola will start using the MICRO SD port pretty soon, which is compatible with TONS of other electronics. For as much crap as MOT gets, they are sure on top of things and who can argue with 50MIL RAZR's sold, the most amazing story of wireless. It shows that form wins over function these days, customers would rather have a phone that looks cool and gets that wow factor over the functions(like the ORIGINAL RAZR only having a VGA camera!)

Well, since all Nextel handsets are Motorola, it would stand to reason that the combined Sprint-Nextel would deal with Motorola. They want to keep some of the Nextel systems live for the near future, and I doubt any other manufacturer really wants to delve into iDEN's PTT!
