For over a week now, anyone who has a data cable can install it themselves. Takes anywhere from 20-45minutes depending on amount of stuff(ringtones, pics, etc) on your phone.

No, that is why he says "those who have" a data cable. He never suggested that anyone go buy one. The software update is a great thing. Yes, it is ridiculous that the phone didn't have the capability at first, but there was no false advertising, so anyone who bought it, should have already known that there was no speakerphone. Now, those who have it, get a free added bonus, by going to the store to get it.
