I really need a new phone and would like to get a thin/small one. Basically I'm just waiting for either one of these phones to come out. IS there any big advantage on getting one over the other? (Besides the fact that LG sucks MOTO rules or vice versa 🤣 )

the lg will be shorter/thinner, moto will be longer, more narrow. LG will have flash interface, whereas the moto won't.

Newer, more customizable user interfaces that can be used, rather than just the standard verizon interface, and it includes new, nicer-looking wallpapers.

the interface on the chocolate and some other new lg's is one of their best features in my opinion. the 8600 will probably and hopefully be the same or better.

Wait . . . this phone is coming out before the KRZR, and LG were the first to put Touch Sensors on the outside flip. But wait, it was also introduced in Korea a while back. So again, please remind me how this phone copies the KRZR and not the other way around?

Oh wait, I know how you'll say it copies the KRZR, and that is because this phone is thin! YES! OK, now I see where you're not coming from.

By the way, according to JD Power and Consumer Reports: LG, Sanyo and Samsung make handsets which have a better quality than Motorola. So . . . yeah

I totally agree. Who was the phone company with the infamous charging port problem??? Hmm NOT LG!!!!! LG has always had the best phones doesn't matter what carrier or phone type. they are just the best. Motorolas are not only of poor and cheap quality, but they dont compare feature and realiability wise to an LG.

Kthnx!

I won't be buying this phone. I don't trust LG phones. The last two phones i had were LG and the were both aweful. The first Lg (lx5550) had to be sent into repair because it randomly shut off and wouldn't turn on, waited 4 months for it to come back, got a refurbished one which wouldn't charge, took it back was given a new LG phone of the same type, which also had a charging problem. I got fed up with that and bought a new Lg, the 6100 from Cellularone (now Alltel) and it had the worst reception ever, almost every call i made was dropped. I got my bill and it said i had dropped 113 calls. My previous phones, a nokia and a motorola both had reception in the same spots where the LG wouldn't work. So, i don't think Moto has bad quality...

I have Verizon Wireless and I've looked into these phones cuz I'm eligible for my new every 2.

The chocolate has in my opinion the best camera out for VZW. Sure there's the Samsung sch-a990 with 3.2 megapixels, but that takes over a second to snap a picture. This is the only phone for VZW that has automatic adjustment for light and a really low shutter delay. Although the chocolate doesn't have speakerphone, it has a speaker and the upgrade is coming out. The 8600 will have speakerphone when it's launched. LG is also known for making higher quality phones than Motorola. I don't have the citations, but I believe that everytime item quality and durability come into question, LG ranks at or toward the top, while Motorola's products hav...

The chocolate 8500 has a speakerphone now, version 4....You can flash it yourself very easily. It took me only 26 minutes.

I've owned 4 motos including 2 RAZRs and never had a quality problem with any of them. Almost everyone I know who owns a RAZR has been extremely pleased with their choice. I would guess that it is probably the best selling single model of cell phone ever made by anybody. You like moto, buy moto. You like LG, buy LG.

Give me facts not hearsay. I have heard horror stories about LG, Moto, Nokia, Samsung, Audivox and just about every other manufacturer at some point in time. As with any mass produced product a negligible percentage is likely to be defective in some way. I highly doubt motorola's stats are significantly different than anyone else. Hearing someone's "horror" story or reading something here that is not based on fact is not goi...
