๐Ÿคจ Why in sam-hell does VZW keep changing the asthetic appeal of the chocolate phones when they come staeside? Where is the alternating colored keypad and "CHOCOLATE" color?

Uhhh...I don't think the Korean or UK versions of this phone (or the 8500) were ever "Chocolate" in color. I do agree that the checkerboard keypad was better looking than this one ๐Ÿ‘€

So why is it that whenever someone comes out with a "thin" phone, everyone automatically says it's a RAZR knockoff?

LG came out with the first flip phone with a caller ID on the outside of the handset, however you don't hear people say that every phone with a called ID on the outside is just a rip off of an LG phone. Or if someone comes out with a candy bar phone, aka SLVR, people don't say it's a Nokia Rip off. But the Sanyo Kantana, Samsung Blade and now the VX8600 automatically looks like the RAZR and is a RAZR rip off. Why is that? Just because it's thin? That's a pretty stupid reason.

Last time I checked, the black RAZR does not have Chrome Trim aroun the outside, or has a keypad like the VX8600, or is glossy like the VX8600,...

man i love this guy... i was bout to say the sam exact thing but man.. you got it already!!! just like he said... just because it's a thin phone does not mean it's a copy.... IT's CALLED the "COMPETITION" ok???? you want me to spell that out for you slowly?? man... people just because thin phones came out does not mean they COPIED... copy means when you make another product that looks EXACTLY the same like 100% same... you know??? i don't know if that makes sense but.. whatever... GO LG!!!!!! and Samsung~

Yeah I totally agree! Just because the phone is thin doesn't mean it's a knockoff. The RAZR started a trend. We all know that trends relate to the same idea but come in various forms so that the public can decide on what they like most of that trend. As in there's the 80's trend, but many things available for the 80'd trend and made by more than one person.

That's what drives the competition. Who knows maybe thin phones will entirely replace ur average flip phone, maybe not? But regardless the RAZR is not the best phone, and other companys have stepped up to the challenge and are creating better phones that are thin.

Besides what do u RAZR freaks have to be jealous of? Do u all work for Motorola or something?

Dude, you're a moron. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ VZW doesn't "change" the phones. VZW, ATT/CINGY, Sprint, ETC, ETC, are SERVICE providers. NONE of them actually manufacture the phones. Since NO CARRIER/SERVICE PROVIDER manufactures the phones, the only people that can CHANGE the appearance of the phone is the MANUFACTURER or the END USER that has purchased the phone and accessories.
Besides, after the comment you posted, I'm sure you'll PAINT the keyboard to match your personal taste. And th...

Dude, you're the moron. Verizon does change phones, all the time. They just tell the manufacturer what they want changed, and the manufacturer changes it to accomodate them. That's the CARRIER changing the phone, no matter who actually molds the faceplate or colors the plastic.

Last time you went to Taco Bell and had them CHANGE your burrito so that it didn't have sour cream on it, did you go behind the counter and do it?

Actually you're dead wrong. The handset manufactuers will show VZW, or Sprint a handset, and they will come up with changes that they like and they want. The original version of the Chocolate did have the checker-board keypad, however VZW didn't like it, so now it's solid black. The VX8300 was going to be black, however VZW wanted it the color it is now, so LG changed it . . . and so on. A lot of what a phone is, is actually the decision of the carrier and not the manufacturer.
