I don't like nor do I get into carrier or phone OS wars, but more and more I am considering porting from AT&T to T-Mobile, while I have a 40gb data plan on AT&T, 30 of those GB's I got on a promotion which raised my bill less then $18.00 per month. I pay about $245 per month, of which about $20 goes for a Next 24 for my wife's iPhone 7. And that is for 5 lines and an ipad. Before I do anything, I started a pre paid plan on TMO to make sure the coverage outside of where I live, work and travel has good coverage. I really don't care about data speeds as long as they're in an acceptable range. I do tether now an again, which do count against my 40gb. My youngest daughters phone is paid off, and just need to get her imei to get it unlocked,...

I do live in Toms River, NJ and work in Pomona, NJ which is just outside of Atlantic City. There are some coverage issues when you get away from the towns surrounding Atlantic City, Galloway Twp. and Egg Harbor Twp. As well as leaving Ocean County, and going west towards Cherry Hill, NJ and Philadelphia.

Off topic, but related, if one is thinking of going to T-Mobile, check out MintSim. With their current promotion, and one cam afford to pay for a month up front, and only need a single line, with taxes, and shipping of the sim, it would cost $326 for a year, for 10gb of data per month. Since they use T-Mobile for coverage, it does seem like a great deal.
