I'm new to GSM phones and Tmob (I'm currently with Verizon and thinking of switching to Tmob) and have never had a Samsung phone before. I was wondering if anyone knows how well these new Samsung T519 and T629 will work with Macs. Do you know if I would be able to iSync the address book via Bluetooth and also be able to transfer files and custom .mp3 ringtones via Bluetooth and my Mac? Thanks for any insight.

Also, I've heard from a few experienced cell phone users that Samsungs suck. The T519 & T629 models look great but should I heed their warnings about Samsung? How do these Samsungs compare to more reliable brands like Nokia and Sony Ericsson, which I get the best reports about.

Well ,T-Mob doesn't support Macs at all, so customer care will tell you "no". Samsung might be able to hook it up, but you have to go through them. The bluetooth will work for files transfers, but check the file types, I believe most Samsungs prefer a .3gp file over MP3.
And Samsung is notorious for "getting what you pay for". If the phone is cheap, it'll be a cheap phone. The expensive ones are great though. The 519 and 629 are mid-level, so take that as you will...

i don't know who said that samsung phones sucks i blieve they got one of them cheap phones that's probably right... i'm 200% sure that samsung is lot better than Motorola and most other companies for sure. it's really reliable i owned 4 samsung phones but i never ever ever had trouble with any of the phones... well i recently dropped my P735 on a concrete that finally broke my phone i dropped it on the concrete many many times but nothing happened except this time i dropped it from 10' above the ground so... that makes sense right? anyway i think samsung is the best cellphone company out there... my top 3 will be Samsung, Sony Ericsson, and LG.. and about the mac os part i'm pretty sure you can work it... you just have to find out how~ just ...

as far as i know samsung and mac aren't compatible natively.. isync doesnt support it yet.. right now i have a Razr and it does sync with my mac using isync... you might have to look for 3rd party software to sync the two... but remember.. this phones calendar view will be limited so i dont think you would love trying to use it as an input device.. however if you just want to back up your contacts then it might work just fine... if you do find a solution.. let me know!
