Big deal. Anyone who pays for this stuff is retarded. If you want to watch a movie go buy it for $15 and save you eyes the trouble.

Actually, I can think of a number of reasons why someone would want to watch a movie on their phone.

One obvious set of people are travelers. Your cell phone is something that you're always carrying with you anyways, so if you can load a movie onto it (along with your mp3s) why bother bringing along your ipod or psp or whatever else portable media player? It's one less thing to carry. It'd also be nice to be able to simply pull your cell out of your purse or pocket and start watching, as opposed to hauling out your laptop, especially if you are traveling on a cramped airplane and the person next to you keeps getting up out of their seat.

I can also think of several cubicle-dwelling friends of mine who would love to be able to be abl...

battery life is the real issue, i hope more manufacturers will start to use lithium polymer batteries which has more capacity than the lithium ion batteries.

How can you watch a STREAMING movie on your cell phone on a airplane? Do you even read what you write?

Last time I was on a airplane they don't like you turning cell phones on in airplanes.. they can cause interference with the flight electronics .. then sprint has crappy coverage on the ground.. I doubt they would have any better coverage 20,000 feet up in the air (lol)

On top of that I would rather have a safe flight and leave my phone off than have ANY risk of flight interence so that I can watch an out dated movie and kill my battery so when I get off the plane my phone is dead..

The FCC is currently reviewing options of allowing cell phone service to be allowed on flights. The equipment that is used doesn't ussually have any trouble with cell phone signals anyway. As far what its worth too, the movies aren't all outdated like you say. They have the same titles that you would find at your average movie store. Another thing worth pointing out is that Sprint isn't accually providing the content, mSpot is, which is a third party. Sprint is just making money by selling rights to mSpot. Call it what you will, but Sprint has a ton of bandwidth to play around with and I'm watching Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on my phone right now and its better looking and sounding than a DivX video on my PC, and I can't bring my...
