Umm this company is a effing joke people. If you want some bad service come to this place because if you hate not getting service, like we all do, then you have come to the jackpot. Seriously, go to Verizon and check out there Migo. And that with Chaparone will help you out more than this stupid disney thing they have going on.

Umm... Why is it that when a topic comes up about anything someone with a Verizon account with a reference to a Motorola product in thier name decides to post a comment. The Migo is an almost worthless phone because it has a total of 7 buttons, the primary display is as big as the SCP-2400 mentioned in the article, requires a contract commitment still and to make matters worse, the phone still costs more than the SCP-2400 (which is a real phone, BTW) because the Migo is $50 even with a 2 year.
Add in the cost of the Migo's extra service plan requirements and its a waste of time. If you need a phone that "kid friendly" for your 4 year old, for your 4 year old, then something is wrong anyway.

Yeah I know what you're talking about. This is stupid. A 4 year old doesn't use a phone anyway!! And if you say that they call their parents... HELLO!! The only places you should leave your 4 year old alone for a long time is at a day care, where they have phones if there is a problem!! I can't understand why people are so stupid as to spend $10 per month, plus $50 for the phone.

...unbelievable. 😲 🙄

It pays to shop for the phone; if you are paying $50, then you are paying about $30-$40 to much.

You also have to understand the PROPER way the phone should be marketed; the 6-10 age group. Any older, and yes, they probably do need a REAL phone.

Additionally, the Migo is marketed to seniors as well. Some seniors have not quite embraced all the fancy technology out there. I spend $9.99 a month for my grandparents to leave the Migo in their car. (they couldn't get Onstar at the time in their car.) 3 of the numbers are assigned to the closest kids and grandkids (geographically), and the 4th rings to "Triple A." Plus the 911 button....

What I said is correct: If you purchase the phone from Verizon, which the vast magority of people do, then it is $50. If you're buying from other places, of course it'll be less.
As for it marketing, it is technically marketed towards young children, seniors can buy them too, sure, in the same way as Scion markets to the under 25 crowd and catches 40+ instead.

But my initial point still stands, the same cost of the phone could be put into a regular phone with 9 speed dial keys and restrictions for a special number calling list, with text locked down and web access, and you'd get a screen instead of a back-lit one line display.

A "classic" rebuttal of Sprint's service by someone who has absolutely NO idea what they're talking about.

Well My gd has sprint and when I accompany her to the berlin turnpike location i find that everyone there acts like they just dont care about anything. One guy is just standing at a terminal and we ask if we can find out when she is avl. for an upgrade that guy tells us to go to the "express lane". Thats nice cause theres 4 people waiting in line and i cant beleave that he cant even find this info out for us. Sprint cust service is crap.

Again I called a "nextel" store that had sprint phones and asked when they would have the katana in and the girl didnt even know what i was talking about..!!! It make me wonder what these people are doing in the store all day.. clearly they arnt education themselves on new upcomming equipment.

Hm...

That is why im in the process of switching from sprint to VZ. Crap CS, standing in the "express lane" takes 45 mins for something simple and yes the katana is already out so if the people who work there dont even know its out, tell them to take their eyes off their paycheck and look at the sales floor.

My dad refuses to go to a certain location cause he always gets stuck talking to rude B, who knows nothing and pulls simple one liners to get my dad out of the store "your not eligible for an upgrade yet" "you have to call CS for that.." etc.

Pardon my ignorance, but I fail to see how your personal experience in a retail store has anything at all to do with sprint service or the new parental controls available.

I personally like sprint for a few main reasons.
1. my sprint phone makes and receives phone calls and text from within my house. (big plus)
2. Lots of people I know use sprint. (3 phones less than 100 anytime minutes a month)

Before you flame, GSM will not work in my house, and VZW does not offer a small enough plan with unlimited text.

Thats about it for those

I would love to know if you can limit phone use after a certain time of day, say 10:00pm just disable the phone for calls and text except calls to the house phone or other specified number.

There's a slogan if I ever saw one.

*Psst* This is why I use Verizon. Go figure.

Sprint has gone down the drain lately. Im used to be a diehard for them, but now im switching. The service is still good, but the CS is TRASH!

Im still on the old unlimited mobile web and txt for $5 plan. But now that I work for VZ, i get a better deal.

I love seeing people complain about how Sprint will tell them they arent eligible for upgrades or to call cusotmer service.

I have 2 providers other then Sprint, and they all have the same exact upgrade eligiblity policy as sprint. So GG
Also when a rep tells you call customer service its usually that they are an affiliate of sprint or you have a coperate only issue such as deact. Or your asking them for a credit to your bill 99% of the time it is your mistake and ignorance.
I love it when people are like they never told me that !!
You never tell a cop oh i am sorry you guys never told me that law.

Also if you come into a store and a rep doesnt seem to know much, chances are they have been gone for awhile or they are new. If it is ...
