So come on over to the nations most reliable network. And we make that claim because we test our own network as well as those of our competitors. Not because we paid some research company to say so.

yes join another wireless company...pick your poison..want ringtones on your phones..pay for them, oh you want to transfer them using bluetooth..oh sorry you will need to download files and pay for it..oh you dont need a plan as high as 700min for a ft plan..that sucks...oh you want to take your phone international and expect it to work...hmmm cant help you there unless you get this special one..

I have to laugh at everyone who posts that they are getting screwed this way and that..GSM/UMTS...3g..so on so forth is better technology. For the ones that have those 800min plans with this and that on them..must be nice but it gets you no where..free market trade drives technology no matter if you like it or not! Thats the way the world works...

85% of verizons customers could give a crap less about BT OBEX and throwing down a few bucks for a song and that. There are lots of ways around getting ringtones, get mobile web, getting what you really want out of the phone. Some people ACTUALLY DO want vcast and do want to pay for a few ringtones or vcast music songs. Its a huge business and its been growing bigger and bigger each year. Still verizon is cheaper on some things compared to other carriers. $5 mobile web vs. $10-15-20 cing media net. Still verizon kills cingy in customer service, and atleast vz still has techs in their store that deal with the customer directly. Go to sprint (used to be die hard fan pre nextel) and get awful service, a tech that hides in the back room, and sal...

But when someone knows there way around a phone and knows how to do this and that...why on earth should I pay $15 a month for Vcast? Have you tried the V3m? Sure I can get my music on the device without vcast and this and that and I actually "almost" like the phone but you can't make ringtones out of the songs nor transfer anything from the TF card to the device and actually use it with the phone. I wish the device was like the V710 with all its capabilities and unique UI..not the Verizon crap on every device. Let the others pay for this stuff..great business for Verizon and whomever else..hats off to them

I have had terrible customer care at stores around my area. I rather not even deal with a store with any carrier.

I consider one o...

Switch if you want, thats your choice. Im not the retention dept so Im not gonna kiss anyones ass to keep them. I just think of for every person that leaves VZ, we gain a business acct with hundreds of lines. Verizon has the lowest churn rate (1.12%), highest customer satisfaction rate, and gains more customers every month than any other carrier (1.8 Mil in Q2 06).

What, because of the AT&T purchase? Subscriber numbers don't even matter anyway. Why can't everyone just use whichever service you like and quit harping about it?

Just because more people vote for one political party or the other doesn't make what that party is doing better or worse.

I just travelled 12 hours each way to an event to see 200+ Cingular customers walking around playing with these ring tones you're talking about, with no service. Meanwhile my Verizon worked great up at the even and up into the mountains. The funny part is that they were still happy with their service!

Some guy saw my Blackberry ring and said "Hey hey, your phone works HERE?" and I said "Yeah, it pretty much works everywhere I've ever been."

He ask...

No thanks. We don't want your ugly standarized UI on every phone, crippled bluetooth, Get $hit Now, VCRAP, and arrogant sales/customer reps.

I want to be able do whatever I damn well please with my phone. I want to put whatever application I want, use bluetooth which ever way I want to and use my phone all over the world. And I don't want no stupid menu system. I want the menu system that the manufacturer provides NOT what the arrogant execs at Verizon who think they know what's best for me! I...

If you think that the customers that this change is effecting is reading Phonescoop, then you don't really know who this change is effecting. We're talking elderly people who still pay for long distance service in their homes, call operators instead of 411, and remember when those duplex homes that popped up across the street from them 5 years ago "where all orange groves".

Yeah... Let me get this right - More trust should be put in a results favoring a company when they're produced by that company, instead of a contracted firm whose reputation and continuity of business is 100% dependent on impartiality??

Everyone tests everyone's networks, and can present in the way they want to make theirs look best.

Verizon's a good network, no doubt. Best for some. But every carrier's network will prove to be the best for some.

Verizon's "Most Reliable Netowrk" claim is based on a study that VERIZON conducted. Basically, "we're (Verizon) the best because we say so!" Give me a break. You guys are getting kicked around big time by Cingular. The company with the fairest deal in wireless (rollover), The Largest Digital Voice & Data Network and the Fewest Dropped Calls. 😁

Cingular wants them off the old tech so they can stop hemorrhaging costs in non-profitable sector of their business. Fine. But find a better way than to up-charge those who have been with you since before Cingular became a collective brand!

So let me see if I get this right. Verizon is the "most reliable" network because Verizon "tests it's own network". I'm sure these so called tests are on the up and up and Verizon would surely tell us all the test results if they weren't favorable (yeah right!). If you believe that, there is a bridge in Brooklyn for sale - or even better there is a wireless cellphone company I can sell you. I'll give you a hint - it's a wireless company that claims it's the most reliable based on their own tests. What a Crock!

Why? 'Cause a customer paying out $29.99 of his/her hard earned cash isn't really a beneficial customer? Give us all a break. Pfft.

This is so untrue!! Verizon's service is AWFUL! The service barely even works in the Southeast! In order to attract new customers, Verizon HAS to offer phones very similar to Sprint and Cingular.

Yeah, I live in the Southeast and my Verizon service is awful.

That's sarcasm.

Again.
