What about the Samsung a900, a920, a940, Sanyo 9000, 7500 or LG fusic?
I know that the a940 and 9000 have been discontinued, but they were great phones.
What is it you are looking for in a phone that these can't provide?

BETTER LOOKING PHONES!!! I've had Cingular,T-Mobile, and now Verizon.. I was about to try Sprint out but they never have enticed me with their phone selection..

It's funny that one of the primary concerns for people when they areshopping for phones is how "cool" the phone looks. I would worry more about the small stuff like coverage, call quality, price, customer service. What a country of morons we live in. 🙄
I said that last sentence because I sell phones, and I know that 8 out of 10 people want to look at the "cool" phones first, not see how much they are going to be spending every month. It's pathetic! People wanting to make a statement with their "hot" phones. If you want to impress people soo bad, go buy a nice car and a huge house, nobody gives 2 sh!ts about how great your phone looks.
OK, that's everything, I fell better now...

Personally, its not a primary concern... I want a phone that has all the features I will need and that will be durable and work good as what it is meant to be... a phone... However, if I'm gonna dish out money on a phone, I want it to be appealing to me... You dont go buy a car just because it may be a good car... now do you??? You have to like the car as well... Its not about impressing people, its about liking what you are spending your money on... some ppl are probably all about the looks of the phone but that is just one of the factors for me... probably least important but I want something I like (that works and has everything I need) not something I dont like in the end...

Anything anyone in america buys their first thought is what will people think it just natural for americans to think this way. I know many people in car sales and real estate. That say some many of their clients will act on first impressions before they actually know anything about a car or house. Also, when they are disscussing different aspects of these purchases they refer to friends and family a lot. Bobby joe would like this. Me and billy can cruise around in this. it's just natural for people to think this way.

The thing that pisses me off is when I get these retarded old guys who come in and say "i just want a basic phone" so I show them the Samsung A630 or the LG5200, and then they say "i'll just take the razr". 😳 !??!
I think there are a lot of parallels between the auto and cell phone industries at this point, and a cell phone is becoming a status symbol like anything else. it is no stupider for someone to get a razr instead of an E815 than it is for someone to get a Del Sol instead of a regular Civic. i wouldn't do it myself, but for the people who are just in love with a certain look, that is fine.
With that said, the people that piss me off are the ones who say one thing and want a different thing. If you want a crappy phone that...

technically sprint works off similar technology as verizon. Cdma phones work off pcs secondary. Sprint phones work off cdma secondary, there are places where roaming agreements allow verizon to bum off of Sprint and vice Versa. That being said their phone selection is what they choose it to be, instead of razr they went the blade route, that is nicer in my opinion. but If certain restriction didn't exist you could technically set a verizon phone to work off of sprint and a sprint phone to work on Verizon. Back in the day(about 4 years ago) I used to reprogram Sprint v120's to work on Verizon prepaid service with no issues, but as data and 911gps became more and more relevant the phones were locked down more and more.
