Is There More Than One RAZR maxx?

I keep finding places that claim the RAZR maxx is quadband with UMTS/HSDPA 1900. What gives? There's at least three (somewhat) reputable sites now claiming quadband, about the same number, including Phonescoop, who claim otherwise.

Did they just make this up out of the blue? Is there more than one maxx? Were some of those Moto reps confused?

Money quote: Three additional WCDMA and HSDPA phones are planned for release by the end of the year. At yesterday's analyst meeting, President of Mobile Devices Ron Garriques said "When I look at the five new UMTS HSDPA devices that we're launching into Q4, the significant markets that those are launching into are Europe and the US market."

I know what Garriques said, he can "hint strongly" all he wants to. I'm just wondering how CNET could come to the conclusion that this device has 850 and would be one of the first North American HSDPA handsets. That's not a mere typing error.
