T-Mobile is GSM. I hope we get it. We need more T-Mobile exclusives!

tmobile has the pebl and the sidekick... 🤨 . For such a *relatively* small carrier that seems generous already.

not to mention that Tmobile is GSM so they could get it. CDMA are VZW and Sprint.

T-Mobile may be a small carrier in the states (22+ million customers) but they are the 3rd largest carrier in the world. They have pretty deep pockets my friend. And most phones are launched for GSM months or even years before a CDMA counterpart is created. CDMA market is much smaller world-wide, so costs are higher

True...BUT that 50 million sold is spread across THREE carriers (one of whom is T-Mobile). If the RAZR was exclusive to one carrier, no matter which one, there is no way it would approach those numbers.

granted. i guess my point is that exclusivity doesn't make very much sense from a manufacturer's point of view, and the smaller the carrier the worse the appeal. i guess the real question is just how much money changes hands to secure that magical "exclusivity". no doubt if a carrier gets the right phones they will single-handedly bring in customers regardless of all else. just had a customer today who wanted nothing to do with vzw since we didn't have the pebl.
